
Search for Artistic Director for 2022-2023 Season
Position/Title: Artistic Director

Duties:
Conduct regular rehearsals on approximately a weekly basis, and at such additional times as may seem appropriate under the circumstances. Rehearsals typically commence in early September for the fall season and early February for the spring season.
Conduct a concert series (typically 2 concerts) twice a year, one in the period of approximately November to early December and one in the period of approximately April to May. Concerts in each of such concert series shall be performed in Idaho Falls together with possible additional venues as shall be determined by the Board of Directors in coordination with the Artistic Director.
Create the vision and programming for each concert season considering the input of members of the Executive Committee. The Artistic Director will make final decisions regarding repertoire.
Establish, in consultation with the board, criteria for membership in the choir including audition protocols.
Establish and maintain artistic standards, and, with the support of the Board, take disciplinary actions required to maintain smooth operations and high artistic standards.
Assist the Corporation and its officers in arranging for venues, accompanying musicians, and other support for performances as scheduled.
Attend regularly scheduled meetings of the Corporation Board of Directors, as ex officio member, participating and advising the Board concerning matters within the purview of the Artistic Director.
Maintain an effective line of communication with such officers and Board members as needed for consultation in their respective duties.
Assist as deemed appropriate with advertising and fundraising campaigns, including but not limited to, interviews with local media, meeting/greeting donors.
Compensation:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience not to exceed $4,500 per fiscal year, based on two concert series and payable in equal sums of $2,250 on or before the 30th day of December and the 30th day of June.
