A message from our new Artistic Director, Atina Coates:

I am honored to be chosen in the capacity of the new artistic director and eagerly anticipate making some beautiful music and memories with you. I am also thrilled by the opportunity to hear each of your voices in the upcoming voice placement audition. There are several purposes including the formation of a seating chart, listening for solo potential, balancing the sections, and hearing the most beautiful parts of your voice.

The audition signup for August 31st is now full. However, additional auditions will be held on September 7th before and after rehearsal. The audition sign up link for September 7th is: https://docs.google.com/.../10LO.../edit....

Auditions include a range and skills check and an excerpt chosen from a recently used song in the hiring rehearsal, “The Road Home” by Stephen Paulus. Upon signing up, you will be sent an email confirming your time and a pdf of the music.

Please note that several of you will sing TWO different lines in the audition:
All Sopranos sing BOTH the solo and the Soprano choir part.
Alto 1 sing choir part – both Soprano and Alto
Tenor 1 - prepare to sing both the choir tenor part and the solo.
All other parts - sing what is printed.
